His brain is working well too...when he starts getting some testosterone and hits 15 and has had serious NLA training from Houston, not the CC wannabe school and is a sophomore in high school he will be quite an animal. Ive got two more kids that really need to get up your way over the next few years. Their dad is a tw0-time natl champion from A&I Kingsville before it became A&M Kingsville. Robert Watson...he was an O-lineman and blocked for Johnny Bailey and Heath Sherman. Rob and I have been friends for 20 years. He has a boy Justice and another son Xavier who I have both coached. They are both FREAKS! They both hit like freight trains. Rob is bringing them to Flour Bluff so they can play high school ball with Grant.

In the final game of the season on Weds nite he kicked some ass...came all the way across from left LB and caught the QB downfield and almost took him out of game. Swung him to the ground and blew him up. He plays with fire and rage under control; focused. Had some really strong runs on offense. He sees the field and the flow of movement very well. But what I was particularly pleased with as has been the coaching staff lately is his blocking out of the backfield; not only in the back field - but downfield for the other backs on running plays...he finds the defenders and locks them up without holding while moving them away from the offensive flow and creating space. You know and I know that RBs who can run AND block are worth their weight in gold at higher levels. And the kid is tuff as a bag of hammers and mean as a snake on the field. They won the game 14-6 and held the Raiders out of the endzone on two goal line stands within the 5 yd line. Grant came up from LKB and stopped their QB dead short of the goal line to stop one TD. He lit him up...with a vengeance...lol. You will be very proud when you get a hold of him this summer.

McMeans finished 3rd in the 7th grade -7 B which is where he was playing both offensive right tackle and defensive left tackle each and every game. He usually had ten or more tackles per game. I attached the final 7th and 8th grade rankings for KISD for you to look at. The coaches said Harrison is doing very well and will be an excellent "A" team player in 8th grade. Thanks for the work you did with him this past summer, it really helped him.

Rodney is special. Hes one of the hardest workers Ive ever seen, Katy coach Rhett Middlebrook said. Hes very technical and hes one of the best kids Ive ever been around. He broke some of our rushing records this year. We run sprints, and hes always out in front and hes just a true leader.

He had a good game last week. It was a different team than the Longhorns played. Devin had a reception & run for a touchdown that got called back for a holding penalty. He had a punt return touchdown. They let him play three or four plays on defense and had another interception for a touchdown. He said he could have sacked the quarterback, but he waited and watched him. Every game they have let him play defense, he has gotten an interception TD.
